Our E85 kits are not compatible with:

• Direct Injection Engines: TSi, FSi, EcoBoost, TFSi, Ecotec, DGi, T-GDi, DiG, THP, DiT, and certain TCe engines.

Yes, you can use the ECOFUELBOX PRO - (boat version) - on a boat or jet-ski. These conversion kits are designed to be installed on a variety of marine vehicles, including boats and jet-skis equipped with indirect gasoline engines. All connectors are waterproof, and the electronic board is tropicalized with high-quality polyurethane varnish specially designed for marine electronic equipment.

However, it is important to verify the specific compatibility of your engine with the kit, especially regarding the type of fuel injection and the connectors of the fuel injectors.

No, no additional fuel tank is necessary. Ethanol mixes in the same original tank with any gasoline: SP95, SP98, or SP95-E10, in any proportion.

The ECOFUELBOX PRO ethanol E85 kit is very easy to install. In the vast majority of cases, installing the E85 kit takes between 30 and 45 minutes following the simple procedure described in the illustrated installation guide provided with your kit. The installation is done without any mechanical modification, simply by connecting the kit's electrical harness to the connectors of the injector harness and fuel injectors.

The kit is powered by +12V "ignition-on", directly taken from your vehicle, motorcycle, scooter, quad, boat, or jet-ski harness. There is no wire cutting or soldering required. The fuel sensor is installed between the original fuel supply hose and the injector rail using quick connectors provided with the ECOFUELBOX PRO ethanol kit (identical to those used by automotive / motorcycle / boat manufacturers). We provide a special 50 cm ethanol fuel hose that you can cut to the required length.

In over 90% of cases, our customers install the kit themselves. However, if you prefer, you can have the installation done by a mechanic. The average installation cost varies between €70 and €100, depending on the vehicle. If needed or in case of vehicle change, the kit can be removed without leaving a trace.

Our ethanol units - ECOFUELBOX PRO comply with EU standards and automotive equipment standards. However, we have decided not to homologate our kits because this involves a complex, extremely long, and very costly administrative procedure. This procedure would at least double the final price of our ethanol units for our customers and would oblige them to have the kit installed by a mechanic, incurring additional installation fees. Therefore, our kits are not homologated, and we do not allow the modification of the registration card from ES (Gasoline) to FE, FG, FH, FN (Flex Energy).

Unlike simple ECU reprogramming or low-end ethanol kits, the ECOFUELBOX PRO® is a true flexfuel kit and allows your vehicle, motorcycle, quad, or boat to accept various fuels: 100% ethanol E85, 100% unleaded gasoline, or any ethanol/gasoline blend in any proportion. Thanks to its powerful microprocessor and firmware with sophisticated algorithms, the kit analyzes the fuel via a dedicated sensor and adapts automatically and in real-time to the type of fuel used.

Once the exact percentage of ethanol in your fuel is determined, the EcoFuelBox® ethanol kit optimizes the air/fuel ratio and controls fuel injection to ensure perfect combustion, thereby improving energy efficiency and engine reliability.

Contrary to rumors, ethanol is not a corrosive fuel. Ethanol E85 is hydrophilic and tends to attract water molecules. However, wordlwide standards and the European standard NF EN 15293 for ethanol fuel E85 is very strict and imposes a maximum water content of 0.4%. In France, this limit is even lower, at 0.3% water in Superéthanol-E85. With such a negligible water content, there is no risk of corrosion for the engine or the fuel supply system.

The energy density of ethanol E85 is slightly lower than that of unleaded gasoline, which is partially compensated by the higher octane rating of ethanol compared to gasoline (108 versus 95 or 98).

An additional amount of ethanol must be injected to ensure the same engine power. With an ECOFUELBOX PRO ethanol conversion kit, the overconsumption will be approximately 10 to 15% compared to the consumption of your vehicle, motorcycle, scooter, quad, boat, or jet-ski running on gasoline.

This represents an additional cost of about €1.20 per 100 km traveled on ethanol. Considering the savings on fuel purchase (approximately -50%), the benefits remain very significant.

During winter, most fuel producers add 5 to 10% gasoline to the "winter blend" of ethanol E85. It is recommended to add 7 to 10% gasoline to the ethanol-filled tank during winter, even for original Flex-Fuel cars.
